At The Reading Teacher, instruction is grounded in structured literacy and informed by the Science of Reading. Sessions are individualized, systematic, and designed to build confident, capable readers over time.

These charts show beginning, middle and end-of-year data for students taking the i-Ready Diagnostic assessment in reading. After working with The Reading Teacher, these students surpassed both their Annual Typical Growth goal as well as their Annual Stretch Growth goal, an ambitious but attainable level of annual growth which puts students who placed below-grade level on a path towards proficiency and students who placed on-grade level on a path to advanced proficiency levels. Research shows that students who reach Stretch Growth at least two years in a row are more likely to reach grade-level placement.
